Can Become Involved and Support
Who are these Red Cross Volunteers?
Can I be one?
The mission of the Red Cross is to help the poor! Wrong. Although this is a noble mission, other organizations do great work with the poor and homeless. We are about preparing (education, training, blood procurement) for disasters and giving help to those who suffer from the effects of disasters. Red Cross disaster work is dangerous! Wrong. We can’t help others if we are harmed. Red Cross disaster workers are never asked to work in dangerous environments.
Dues are required! Wrong. The Red Cross does not have membership
dues.
The Red Cross is a symbol of hope throughout
the world. As part of this humanitarian organization, the American Red
Cross of South Central Illinois Chapter, Clinton County Service Center provides relief to victims of single
family emergencies and community, national and international disasters.
Its mission is to help people prevent, prepare for and respond to
emergencies. Your support is greatly appreciated.
For those who have everything, why not give a gift that leaves a lasting impression and makes a difference in the local community? From holidays and birthdays to promotions and anniversaries, an honor/memorial gift pays tribute to loved ones. Make a gift in someone's name by mailing your gift to the: American Red Cross - Clinton County Service Center 1111 Jefferson P.O. Box 82 Carlyle, IL. 62231 What does my donation do?
$25 will help provide 5 blankets at an
emergency. |
